Effective July 18, 2026
Short version: figgy has no accounts, sets no advertising trackers, and does not sell your data. Here is the longer version.
figgy does not ask you to create an account or provide personal information. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, timestamps) to operate and secure the Service.
When you use the AI search, the text of your query is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to interpret it and produce results. Queries are processed to answer your search, not to build a profile of you. Do not include personal information in searches.
figgy sets no advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's session storage to remember AI search results while you browse; it stays on your device and clears when the tab closes.
The Service is hosted on Vercel, map tiles come from OpenFreeMap, and AI features use Anthropic. Each processes technical request data (such as your IP address) to serve you. Links out to reservation, delivery, and restaurant sites are governed by those sites' own privacy policies.
Restaurant information on figgy comes from public sources: New York City's open inspection data and publicly available business information. If you own a restaurant and believe something is wrong, contact us and we will look into it.
figgy is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the effective date above.
