We passed by this restaurant and was drawn to the wooden decor ceilings and open space. The toasted buns paired well with the jam. Fairly standard Italian pasta. The waiters were oddly slow for taking orders and handing out checks despite fairly limited customers. That said, the servers were very quick with the food and cheese/black pepper.
Had a reservation and was sitting in our table within a few minutes. The staff were polite and attentive. Visited during NYC restaurant week on 1/31/26 they had a prix-fixe menu that offered an antipasti, entree and dessert which were all good portions and excellent flavors. The red bean soup was to die for specially on a cold winter night. The flavors exploded in my mouth. The bread bowl was perfect and the toasty bread gave it a nice balance. This is my kinda place! Feels like it was designed for men. The carbonara came in a big bowl and I devoured it all. The martinis 🍸 were excellent… and only $12 at happy hour. Meatballs and oysters great. Free bread (yum) comes with a cool container of olive oil and some tomato bruschetta. Happy hour lasts until closing so you’re not rushed. I’ll be back!
